A full time employment or job requires a person to work the standard or maximum legal hours. The work hours needed to complete a full time employment in a day or in a week would vary from one country to the other, depending on the number of hours mandated by the country's laws.
Full time employment is generally required by the multinational or industrial companies that produce products in bulk. These companies manufacture a large number of products to be able to meet the demand and make profit. Thus, the workers need to be hired under a full time employment contract that includes a provision for overtime work and pay. Other sectors where full time employment or work is necessary are those under the private or public service sector. Full time employment in these sectors include working in government offices, hospitals where overtime work usually occurs, armed or defense forces as well as other public and private services.
Full time employment requires more responsibilities and includes a wider scope of work but also comes along with other benefits. However, full time employment can be very demanding. A person with full time employment must be disciplined and very committed to his or her work.
On the other hand, full time employment offers some primary advantages. These are expressed through provision of routine benefits such as sick pay, vacation leave, healthcare and pension. Also, in full time employment, the person is paid for rendering overtime work. One good thing about full time employment is that the company invests on employee training and development.
The compensation for full time employment is usually offered in the form of salary which has been predefined and computed on a daily, hourly, or weekly basis. This system is more reliable. Depending on the rank and duties and responsibilities of the person with full time employment, he or she can be compensated based on his or her work experience, training, and academic background.
Thus, for best arrangement for full time employment, it is best to sit down and study further the compensation package. This will be the best time to negotiate for the compensation rate and package for benefits of a full time employment. In the advertisements and publications, the salary or pay rate for a full time employment is usually indicated.
